We provide Occupational and Myofunctional therapy in the home (mobile services) and services at our location in Riverview Chiropractic. We provide individualized evaluations and treatment plans that are tailored to your child to help support your family. Our goal is to empower children to thrive and succeed in all areas of their lives.
Occupational Therapy
We can help your child reach goals and developmental milestones that improve their daily life. We focus on how your child moves, plays and communicates with the world around them. We can work on improving movement and coordination, strength, postural control, visual motor and visual perceptual skills and self-help skills. We specialize in oral motor skills that can help with bottle feeding and transitioning to solids. We hope to help your child develop confidence and self-esteem while improving their independence.
Sensory Processing and self-regulation
We can help your child learn to effectively process and respond to sensory information, improving their ability to participate in daily activities and tasks. This involves sensory integration therapy, which uses play-based activities and sensory experiences to challenge and regulate the nervous system.
Myofunctional Therapy
Myofunctional therapy for kids can help to promote proper oral function. Children who undergo myofunctional therapy will gain strong and healthy muscles in their mouth, face and throat, which can help them to develop proper speech sounds, improved feeding and swallowing, and better jaw and teeth alignment. Other benefits include improved nasal breathing and overall oral health. We can help address oral habits that include pacifier use and thumb sucking.
